The senior management at DSI Logistics Inc. shares the commitment to provide total satisfaction for client partners and their customers with a "Whatever It Takes" attitude of their own. With over 200 years of combined experience in the home delivery business, the executives at DSI Logistics Inc. are experts in the area of logistical management. They are also skilled in reducing infrastructure costs and liability exposure. Each manager ensures that their clients receive customized DSI Logistics Inc employing flexibility, accountability, and their own "hands-on" approach.


Dave Thompson, Founder Chairman

Dave Thompson founded DSI Logistics Inc. in 1997 with a vision to provide
innovative solutions that meet the challenges retailers and manufacturers face
in providing delivery service to consumers. Today, DSI’s reputation for doing
"Whatever It Takes" to deliver total client satisfaction has led to significant
company growth.


As Founder/Chairman, Dave has a "hands-on" management style. In addition

to managing his company's revenue and resources, Dave is personally involved

in employee development, sales presentations, and client follow-up. With 20

years experience in the delivery business he understands the demands and

expectations of the consumer and is committed to work with client partners to

improve the efficiency, service quality, and/or cost-effectiveness of their existing delivery operations.


Dave attributes his company's success and growth to "our Core Values and commitment to customized solutions, a strong management team, and account personnel and contract drivers who focus on customer satisfaction and safety."  Dave's personal interests include travel, golf, and spending time with family and friends. He is a big supporter of his two favorite teams, the USC Trojans and L.A. Angels. Dave is also involved in several charities including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County and the City of Hope National Medical Center.


Jim Forman, President 

Jim Forman is responsible for all aspects of the company's operations and

administration. Reporting to the Founder/Chairman, Dave Thompson, Jim is

intimately involved in managing the company's financials, overseeing employee

development, and supporting all associates of DSI Logistics Inc. Jim created
DSI Logistics Inc's. Core Values, a "road map" to help associates to accomplish
company goals. His personal priority is to protect and secure the integrity
of the company.


As one of DSI Logistics Inc.'s first employees, Jim has had an integral role in

the growth and success of the company. Early in his career at DSI Logistics Inc. Jim was an

Account Executive at Dearden's and Sit 'N Sleep. He is credited for successfully managing the Dearden's-DSI transition in 1998 (Dearden's had previously run their own deliveries since 1909). At Sit 'N Sleep his logistical management skills, leadership, and follow-up was largely responsible for influencing Sit 'N Sleep to outsource their entire delivery operation to DSI Logistics Inc. In 2000, Jim was promoted to the position of South Group Manager, responsible for all client accounts and operations in southern California. "DSI Logistics Inc. has given me the ultimate opportunity to learn so much and grow within the organization at the same time," states Jim. When he's not working, you can find Jim spending time with his wife Lori and boys, Jack and Brody. When he's not chasing the kids around, he enjoys chasing a golf ball around the course. He is a graduate of Chico State University.


David Whitley, Executive Vice President

David joined DSI Logistics Inc. in the fall of 2012 to lead the company sales and
marketing effort. With more than 25 years of industry experience David brings a

well-respected reputation that Dave Thompson believes will contribute to

a very aggressive growth strategy over the few years. “We are excited to

have David join our executive team. Not only will he open doors to new

customers his insight and knowledge of operational processes is invaluable”

David enjoys traveling, golf and professional sports. While his career included

assignments all over the US he remains a loyal fan of the New England Patriots 

and the Washington Nationals.


Maria Padilla, Director of Accounting and Administration

Maria has been with DSI Logistics Inc. for more than 10 years. When Maria joined
the company she was tasked with developing the entire back room infrastructure

for DSI Logistics Inc. The project included but was not limited to accounting, human

resources, administration, hauler settlements and compliance. Today

Maria leads a team of department specialists based in the Brea CA

corporate headquarters. A native of the Los Angeles area Maria enjoys

the outdoors and takes full advantage of the sunny California climate to

play tennis, hike and relaxing by the pool.



Jonathan Arrendale, Vice President of Operations

Jonathan Arrendale's favorite aspects of his job are the unique challenges

he faces every day. There's no "cruise control" for this proactive and

conscientious manager whose focus is developing solid client relations

by delivering total satisfaction. As the Director of Operations – North Group,

Jon spends a lot of time on the road to maintain a visible presence with his

clients and DSI  Logistics Inc. account managers. He is responsible for building
the best DSI Logistics Inc. team for his client partners and supporting them with

resources and training/development. He also oversees all account-related financial

matters, including budgeting, billing, and reporting. Jon’s territory includes Northern

California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. Jonathan joined DSI Delivery

in 2000 as an Account Manager with 7 years of experience in the home delivery industry and a record of rapid advancement. This experience included positions as a Home Delivery Coordinator, Inventory Control Manager, Account Manager, and Account Executive. In less than 3 years at DSI Logistics Inc., he was promoted to his present position as Director of Operations – North Group. Jon reports to Jim Forman, Vice President/General Manager. Jon is a graduate of the University of Washington and formerly worked as a TV news reporter. When away from work, he and his wife Theresa can be found exploring Northern California, or some other distant location. A proud father of son Alexander, Jon’s hobbies include music, movies, and spending time in the great outdoors.


David Drury, Vice President of Operations 

In addition to his commitment to total satisfaction for his DSI Logistics Inc. client
partners and their customers, Dave Drury wants employees to have FUN. Dave

strives to develop a "fun-based professional work environment for our

employees." As the Director of Operations – South Group, Dave is

responsible for all southern California accounts. He oversees all

account-related financial matters, including budgeting, billing, and

reporting. He also ensures the best delivery team is in place at

each account, dedicated to customer satisfaction. For DSI Logistics Inc.
employees and contract drivers, Dave practices "fun based" leadership, where

training for future growth is encouraged and compliments are constantly

rewarded. Dave designed the Executive, Management and Supervisor Development Groups to help employees company-wide prepare for advancement. He personally facilitates training classes and promotes the use of training videos, books, and articles. For contract drivers, Dave strives to be a partner in their success by providing steady and profitable year round work. Once a varsity baseball player at USC, Dave is a huge Trojans fan. His great uncle was Morley Drury, known as the "Noblest Trojan of them all," a 1920’s running back and USC’s 1st ever 1,000 yard rusher. At home in southern California, Dave and his wife Linda enjoy their 3 children and chocolate Labrador retriever. He also loves fishing, traveling, gardening, and playing an occasional round of golf.


Lee Fischer, Vice President of Operations - Lowes 
​Lee’s entire career has been in the transportation, logistics and distribution

business. He started with his family a special commodities trucking company

and then moved into the home delivery arena. He brings DSI Logistics over

twenty-five years of experience focused on last mile delivery. You might say

transportation is in his genes. Lee oversees the Lowe’s home delivery division

for DSI Logistics where the client loves his professionalism and positive results

orientated attitude while the Account Managers appreciate his knowledge,

guidance and experience. He has a stellar reputation in the industry as a recruiter

and excels in providing quality independent contractors to all our clients and enjoys the challenge of meeting the demand for increased truck count and capacity. When first hired with DSI in 2014, he was a Director of Operations for Mattress Firm/Sleep Train business. Lee’s experience is easily applied to the Appliance and Furniture divisions. He takes pride in always offering new ideas, cost saving systems and solutions to current clients, their expansion plans as well as new business development - always keeping the best interest of both the client and the independent contractors in mind.


In his spare time, Lee enjoys spending time with his beautiful daughter Alexis and friends made through the years in the industry and abroad. Although not a sports fan, you may find him in Las Vegas during March Madness with that same group of friends. Walk up and say “Hello”. 


Mark Russell, Risk Manager

Mark Russell has fulfilled a company goal to create a fully integrated Risk

Management program. He has a proactive approach to keep DSI Logistics Inc.

safe and competitive and a desire to make DSI the safest company in the

trucking industry. As Risk Manager for DSI Logistics Inc., Mark implements
workplace safety programs, truck inspections, and ensures compliance with
federal (DOT) and state OSHA and licensing regulations. He also monitors

liability/damage claims and Worker's Compensation insurance. For drivers,

Mark ensures they are legally qualified, (i.e. licensed, insured, and

permitted), and does MVR and background checks. He manages the 

"Drivers Awareness Program" and implements incentives like insurance

rebate checks to contract drivers who've completed a safe driving and claim free year. Safety awareness/risk reduction is promoted with resources such as the clipboard i.d.. Today, Mark is a prime example of the DSI Logistics Inc. motto to do "Whatever It Takes." Above and beyond his position as Risk Manager, Mark is a "hands-on" team member who shares his experience and expertise by traveling and offering his time to other DSI Logistics Inc. senior managers, employees and contract drivers. Mark lives near Lake Arrowhead with his wife Christie, daughters Danielle and Megan, and son Zachary. Although evacuated for 12 days, the Russell’s home withstood the fires of 2004, thanks to brave fire fighters who took "a stand" on their deck to save it. A dedicated family man, Mark and his wife both volunteer their time with the Scouts and their children’s schools. Mark is often busy, but "never bored." 



Armando Chavez, Director of Information Technology 

Armando has worked with DSI Logistics for over 10 years. He started in

operations as a part-time pre-caller for Mattress Gallery. He quickly moved

up the ranks and was promoted to Operations Supervisor in 2005. He left the

company briefly to pursue a degree in Business Administration. When he

returned to DSI in August of 2006 he was rehired as an Assistant Manager for

Easy Life Furniture where he was able to apply the skills and strategies he

learned while obtaining his degree. In 2012, Armando implemented DSI’s first

call center in Brea, California. He was able to manage multiple locations through

the call center and leveraged the most current delivery software, including

DispatchTrack. Due to the success of the call center and integration of new

delivery software, DSI eventually created a new role for Armando—IT Manager. Armando pivoted from operations to information technology and has been extremely successful at gapping the bridge between the two fields. His array of skills and hybrid approach allows the two departments to work together seamlessly. DSI aspires to leverage current technology to continually improve all areas of the company and Armando plays a major role in connecting all of the dots so that employees, haulers and clients can all work together effectively and efficiently. Outside of his successful career he spends time with his pride and joy, his daughter Abigail, and enjoys sports, talk radio and most of all, helping people succeed. 


Sam Marshall, Director of Operations

With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Sam’s favorite part of his job

is teaching, training and developing associates. He enjoys working with team

members and mentoring them. He believes in fostering a friendly and fun work

culture where employees are encouraged to voice their opinions without fear

of repercussions. Sam believes that open communication and teamwork are 2

of the most important attributes to a successful operation.

When he’s not working, Sam enjoys traveling with his beautiful wife of 28

years, Kathy. His second favorite hobby is hosting get-togethers with his 3

children and 5 grandchildren. He is a huge A’s and 49ers fan and enjoys attending games as well as rooting for them on TV. Sam was recognized as an All HAAL, All East Bay and All NorCal member his Senior year of High School in football. He went on to play college football at Chabot College and Cal State University of Chico. “My claim to fame is taking on lead blocks from now Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders Jack Del Rio”…..”He hit hard, but I held my own”



Eric Boyles, Senior Account Manager
Ashley Furniture/Stoneledge 

Ashley Senior Account Manager Eric Boyles, based at the firm’s Stoneledge

warehouse states that his mission is “…to develop positive and competitive

teams/organizations/cultures that are passionate about pursuing perfection

and serving with excellence.”   The DSI Logistics Inc. staff at Stoneledge is
focused on continuous improvement at every level, a development program he
calls “Countdown to Success.” It covers all aspects of the operation, from

cleaning the warehouse to providing positive and professional delivery

presentations for Ashley’s customers. “We want to be Ashley’s favorite

delivery provider.” 


Boyles says his organizational development approach results from his own philosophy of continuing personal improvement. “At home I concentrate on becoming a better husband and father,” he tells us. “At work, I want the people around me to be better for my having been with them.” Married for 25 years, and the father of three daughters, Boyles stays as busy at home as he is at work. He enjoys good food, reading, golf, playing the guitar, and the occasional pickup basketball game.


Roy Wheatley, Regional Director of Operations 

Roy joined DSI Logistics Inc. in 2006 as a dock supervisor, and worked his
way up through the ranks. He comments that his previous employment with

Sleep America, and in particular his involvement in all aspects of their

deliveries over a period of several years, prepared him for his current position.

He oversees four account managers, including his base account at Sleep

America in Arizona.  “It’s really satisfying,” he says, “to use the benefit of my

experience to coach managers who report to me, encouraging them to expand

and improve.”  He also likes finding solutions to the changing challenges of his

daily responsibilities.  Roy’s professional goals include growing the number of

accounts in the region, and working his way further up the company ladder to

the level of Regional Director. A recent graduate of Glendale Community College in Phoenix, Roy is newly engaged to his high school sweetheart. A committed local area sports fan, he enjoys cheering for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix Coyotes. However, he confesses to also rooting for the Tennessee Titans football team. “I became a lifelong fan growing up in Texas,” he explains, “when the Titans were still the Houston Oilers.”


Georgette Cuellar, Account Executive
My journey with DSI Logistics Inc. began over 17 years ago when I was hired

as a part time pre-caller for one of our first clients, Sit ‘n Sleep.  Not long after

that, I became a full time dispatcher and began to look for different ways to

improve my knowledge of the logistics field.   My research paid off when I was

promoted to Account Manager in support of other accounts such as Mattress

Gallery and Circuit City, and was able to help support a couple of start-ups,

which included Paul’s TV.  Several years later when I returned to Sit ‘n Sleep,
I was promoted to Account Executive.

I believe that DSI Logistics Inc. is successful because they continually strive to adhere to their Core Values and Mission Statement. I, too, focus on these, as well as always working toward fairness in all aspects of my job. Success in these areas has led to my having been the recipient of the F.L.I.P.P.E.R. Award, and the prestigious President’s Award.  But perhaps the greatest reward I have received is that the knowledge I’ve shared with my staff, has enabled has enabled them to go on to run their own accounts.  Even after all these years, I really enjoy working with the team on every level. They are like family to me.  I look forward to many more years with DSI Logistics Inc. When I am not working, I enjoy gardening, reading, spending time with my family, and sharing Bible truths with others. 


Karen Bustamante, Sr. Account Executive
I had never worked in the logistics industry when I was hired as a full time

dispatcher, yet I was very intrigued with the dynamics of it all.  My interest

and commitment to my job must have made an impression on my managers,

because I was promoted within months to Delivery Supervisor, then to

Assistant Manager, and 4 years after that, ran my own account. My success

in that position awarded me my first (of….how many…) President’s Awards. 

It’s been 14 years since my first days as a dispatcher, during which time

I’ve played many different roles in order to support our clients’ needs and

build rewarding relationships with many haulers and their workers.  My Daily

Goal is to improve overall customer satisfaction and communication between

all (haulers, clients,staff), manage P & L's, and promote DSI Logistics Inc. Core Values.  I want to keep growing with DSI Logistics Inc..  I truly feel that this is my home away from home; however, in my free time I do enjoy being with (my other) family and friends, reading books, watching football (I’m a Raider’s Fan), and playing billiards.
